Pims Group was first established in 1972 and provides design, installation and service of submersible pumps for all types of activities involving water, sewerage and drainage.

Established and satisfied customers include water authorities and major building contractors. We at Pims are proud of our ‘one-stop’ approach for clients – we specialise in construction works, design, surge analysis and ongoing service once installation is complete.

We work on SFA (Sewers for Adoption), PPS (Package Pumping Stations and commercial projects, as appropriate. SFA refers to pumping stations and other work associated with large residential developments. PPS projects cover our own factory-built and assembled pumping systems for smaller developments. Our commercial customers include civil engineering and industrial and commercial builders and we have worked with the top UK house builders on a huge variety of projects.

Pims Pumps makes one of the most extensive ranges of packaged pump systems and is an approved contractor to the UK water utilities and building industry. We offer a comprehensive service including assessing site viability, design, sizing, selecting and installing equipment.

We operate throughout the UK and select equipment from a wide range of reputable manufacturers, tailoring the equipment to suit the individual requirements of a project. We are approved contractors to the major water companies and we also supply equipment to civil, construction, retail, commercial, housing and local authority sectors. We work as partners on many projects and often advise consulting engineers and architects.

Pimps Pumps are experts in the industry: we work to the SFA (Sewers for Adoption) guidelines for pumping stations and liaise with the appropriate water authority at an early stage in a project. We also have an established record and reputation for successful station refurbishment and conversions for the water industry. We undertake complete project management, station design, equipment selection and programming, including any civil engineering needs.

Pims Services delivers a full range of ongoing maintenance products to ensure that pump systems operate efficiently. We provide term contracts, 24-hour response and in-house rewinds, repairs and rebuilds: more than 2,500 pumping stations across the UK currently rely on us.

We professionally maintain, repair or replace all types of equipment for supermarkets, housing developers, local authorities, managing agents and private individuals. Regular servicing of pumping equipment has been proven to extend its life and efficiency and we are on hand for that process. Our customised computer programme controls the scheduling of routine servicing, while emergencies receive immediate attention.

Our service engineers are fully trained in the use of gas detection equipment, confined space entry procedures and all relevant health and safety issues. Back at base, we have a fully-equipped workshop staffed by experts, offering a total in-house service to support our maintenance activities. We are, of course, NICEIC registered and ISO9002 quality assured.

Pims Water Engineering are dedicated to providing new and refurbished pump stations to the UK water utilities. We operate an integrated design, supply and installation service. Existing pump station refurbishment schemes can also be fully managed within our asset management programmes.
