Outline
of Requirements
Enquiry received from numerous civil contractors
and then additional site data from consultants.
Station required to deal with
combined foul and surface water and to discharge
at a restricted rate.
Various solutions were put forward
all based on installation within chambers constructed
by others given that the combination of depth
and discharge rate precluded the use of a packaged
type chamber.
Design was refined on an ongoing
basis to accommodate clients changing site levels
and discharge requirements and equipment scope
altered to meet clients required remote monitoring
via Building management System.
Subsequent to order client decided
to install pumps with a site constructed sectionalised
tank and liaison undertaken between ourselves
and tank manufacturer to ensure compatibility.
General
Benefits to Client of Commercial Installation
Provides flexibility to accommodate
any potential pump configuration and flows and
in this particular instance allowed pumps to be
installed in sectionalised tank due to existing
access restrictions
In General
- Deeper and larger structures can be constructed
- Alternative designs of station
can be used such as Dry well set ups, self priming
pumps, positive displacement pumps
- Small nuisance water sumps
can be accommodated.
